*FLEET Level promotions

Promotions to FLEET level ranks are awarded as described in the STARFLEET International Membership Handbook and are at the sole discretion of the STARFLEET Executive Committee. The tables above provide a suggested guideline for points and time in grade, but these promotions are not guaranteed.

STARFLEET Marine Warrant Officers

Marine enlisted members may be promoted to Warrant Officer grades. Warrant Officers specialize in a particular branch of the SFMC. Marines wishing to become Warrant Officers should declare their intention and chosen branch to the Commanding Officer (CO), Executive Officer (XO), and Marine Officer-in-Charge (OIC) for the 898th MSG.

Initial promotion to Warrant Officer (WO1) requires:

  • At least 3 years of service in the STARFLEET Marine Corps.
  • Minimum rank of Sergeant (E-5).
  • Completion of Officer Training School (OTS) through STARFLEET Academy (SFA), and courses PD-100, IN-100, LD-100, and NCO-100 through the SFMCA.
  • Completion of at least the -20 level course in their chosen branch.

To advance beyond WO1, a member must meet the required points and serve two years in the prior grade. Promotion to CWO-2 requires completing the -30 course for their chosen branch, as well as PD-120, LD-120, NCO-120, and IN-120. CWO-3 candidates must complete OCC, PD-135, LD-211, and NCO-201. Warrant Officers who reach CWO-5 have one option for further advancement: to become a fully Commissioned Officer, resetting their career points to zero. Otherwise, a CWO-5 may continue to serve in that rank until they retire.
